Tech reporter Trisha Thadani is moving to the health beat at The Washington Post, covering alternative medicine and the forces shaping health institutions.
She has been covering tech since June 2023.
Thadani previously spent six years at the San Francisco Chronicle, where she covered homelessness for the City Hall team, focusing on policy and budget decisions. On that beat, she worked on a series that won the 2022 Investigative Reporters and Editors award for outstanding watchdog journalism, among other accolades.
She also spent two years on the business desk, where she covered work-based immigration and broke several stories on the Trump administration’s crackdown on H-1B visas. She traveled to Hyderabad, India, for a story centered on a temple where people prayed for an opportunity to work in the United States.
Thadani graduated from Boston University with a degree in journalism.
