All About The Late Carl Dean’s Will

Dolly Parton’s late husband Carl Dean’s will was made public about 7 months after he died at age 82.
According to Us Weekly, the “I Will Always Love You” singer filed a court document following his death and stated that he signed a will on January 16, 2013, and never amended it.
Court documents obtained by the news outlet showed that the octogenarian kept his property locked for his famous wife and other family members, but had other options in the case where she passed before him.
Parton noted that she was his widow and that they had no kids. She added that her husband didn’t own any real property in Tennessee but did own personal property and cash. It was stated that the sole beneficiary of his estate is the Carl Thomas Dean trust, of which Parton is the trustee.

Other family members were also mentioned in the will, as Dean noted that he had five nieces and nephews, while Parton had 14.
In his will, he specified that if the country music star was unable to serve as executor, his niece should assume the role.
Dean added that he was going to leave a handwritten note explaining who got what from his personal belongings, but if the list wasn’t found, Parton should distribute it however she sees fit.
Dean said his wife should get all of his right, title, and interest in any personal effects relating to her music and entertainment career, including, without limitation, pictures, costumes, jewelry, musical instruments, and equipment.

The Singer Canceled Her Show Due To Health Reasons

It comes as the “Coat of Many Colors” singer sparked health concerns among fans after she postponed her Las Vegas show for almost a year due to health reasons.
In a statement shared on Instagram about a fortnight ago, Parton told fans that she would “need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts” and that she wanted them to hear it from her directly.
“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” she said.
Parton further explained that the move was necessary for her to put on a good show, before going on to assure fans that she’ll be “able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville.”
“I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say,” the singer noted. “And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe he is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with you all.”

The Country Singer’s Sister Alarmed Fans With A Message About Her Health

Parton’s sister sparked fan concerns about the state of the “9 to 5” singer’s health when she shared on social media that she’d been “up all night” praying for her.
However, she later clarified that she didn’t mean to trigger fans before going on to share a small update on the state of Parton’s health.
“I want to clear something up. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly,” she said, per The Blast.
Parton’s sister added, “She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.”
Dolly Parton Says She’s Okay, But Admits She Didn’t Take Care Of Herself After Carl Dean’s Passing
Meanwhile, Parton took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a health update as she explained to fans how Dean’s illness and eventual death affected her health.
“I want you to know that I’m okay,” she reassured her fans. “I’ve got some problems, as I mentioned. Back when my husband Carl was very sick, that was for a long time, and then when he passed, I didn’t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that I should’ve been taking care of.”
“So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said, we need to take care of this. We need to take care of that,” she continued.
Although she didn’t specify the particular health issue she was addressing, Parton noted that it was “nothing major” and told fans she wanted them “to know that I’m not dying.”
