CREST winners
As part of the city’s 70th anniversary celebration, Cupertino will recognize the winners of the 2025 CREST Awards (Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken) during the Cupertino Community Service Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Quinlan Community Center. These annual awards honor outstanding community members and organizations whose volunteer service has made a lasting impact on Cupertino.
The 2025 CREST Awards winners are: Dennis Whittaker, Lifetime Achievement; Raymond Lancon, Volunteer of the Year; Cupertino Little League, Organization of the Year; Sarah Shelke and Reena Shah, Rising Stars of the Year; Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputy Aalok Patel, Hometown Hero.
Art wall submissions
The City of Cupertino is inviting community members to showcase their creativity on a “My Cupertino” Art Wall that will be displayed at the second annual Cupertino Community Service Awards on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Quinlan Community Center.
The theme encourages artists to express what Cupertino means to them—whether it’s a favorite place, a community tradition, local nature or the city’s spirit of innovation and diversity.
Selected pieces may be featured on the City of Cupertino’s website and social media platforms. All participants will receive a certificate of appreciation from the city.

Puzzle hunt
The Cupertino Puzzle Hunt is on through Oct. 26. The free, family-friendly scavenger hunt that takes teams across the city to solve clues and puzzles tied to Cupertino’s people, places and history.
