Charlize Theron and Johnny Depp caused a stir at Dior’s Paris Fashion Week show on Thursday, after an awkward moment between the former co-stars went viral.
The two Hollywood icons, who starred together in “The Astronaut’s Wife” in 1999, appeared distant when they crossed paths at the luxury brand’s showcase.
Depp, the face of Dior Sauvage, and Theron, the longtime ambassador for J’Adore, were expected to share the spotlight, but the actress’s seemingly cold reaction left fans buzzing with speculation online.

On Sunday, an X account named Erika shared a clip capturing the viral moment Theron appeared to snub Depp.
The clip showed the film producer looking stylish in a black leather jacket and army green baggy shorts.
She appeared to be in a good mood as she greeted Bernard Arnault, the CEO of the luxury goods company LVMH. Theron then proceeded to exchange pleasantries with the First Lady of France Brigitte Macron.
However, things became awkward after she walked past Depp, who was standing beside the duo.
In the caption, the poster described the interaction as “funny,” recalling the time in 2023 when the 50-year-old movie star “liked” a TIME magazine post on Instagram that criticized Depp’s Hollywood comeback following his defamation trial against Amber Heard.

Depp’s Comeback After Amber Heard Trial

Johnny Depp’s appearance at Dior’s event marked another milestone in his slow and steady comeback after his turbulent legal battles with ex-wife Heard.
Following his 2022 defamation trial win, Depp re-emerged in the European spotlight with “Jeanne du Barry,” a French film that earned a standing ovation at Cannes.
Around the same time, he renewed his contract with Dior Sauvage, which became one of the most lucrative fragrance deals ever made.
Depp’s return has leaned more toward fashion, film festivals, and music with his band Hollywood Vampires, avoiding major Hollywood blockbusters.
At Dior, he appeared in good spirits, dressed in a stylish grey blazer and blue jeans, mingling with guests, including Macron.

Johnny Depp’s Reputation Rebuilds After Years Of Controversy

Despite the renewed spotlight, Depp’s image continues to stir debate.
The actor’s reputation took a major hit following years of legal drama, drug allegations, and public feuds with Heard.
The fallout led to Depp being dropped from “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” and Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise.
Although the U.S. verdict cleared him of defamation, the damage to his career was undeniable.
Speaking after the trials, he admitted he had been “cancelled,” adding that while he would rather not have lived through such chaos, he “learned more than he ever dreamed he could.”

Depp’s Dog Attack Leaves Local Farmer Furious

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp has made the headlines in recent months for other reasons besides his career.
In September, The Blast reported that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was “very upset” after his rescue dog, a bullmastiff named Bourbon, reportedly mauled two sheep to death in the UK countryside.
The incident happened near Depp’s property in East Sussex when the animal broke free from its handler during a walk.
According to reports, the actor was not home at the time but was “deeply shocked” when informed of the tragedy.
Local farmer Joe Ginger, who owned the sheep, expressed anger and sadness, calling it “a serious matter.”
He told reporters that he takes pride in his livestock and that the loss was devastating.

Each of the sheep was estimated to be worth around £180, and the attack quickly spread through the local community, sparking frustration among nearby farmers.
Johnny Depp Takes Action After the Tragic Incident

Following the incident, reports claimed Depp took steps to ensure such an incident doesn’t happen again.
He allegedly hired a professional dog trainer to work with Bourbon and implemented new security measures around the property.
Sources said Depp felt terrible about what happened and wanted to make amends with the affected farmer.
The tragedy also drew renewed attention to Depp’s history with pet-related controversies, most notably in 2015.
At the time, Depp and Amber Heard faced legal trouble for bringing their two Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo, into Australia without proper documentation.
The dogs were to be euthanized unless they were removed from the country within 72 hours.

Depp and Heard obeyed the authorities and took action. They also released a video, apologizing for their actions.
A decade later, reports revealed locals around East Sussex were stunned by the news of Depp’s dog’s actions.
However, they described him as “quiet and friendly,” noting that he would compensate the farmer adequately.
